birth day vs. experiences

Does the day of the week affect how our personalities will be? or our personalities formed through experiences?

A famous nursery rhyme

Monday’s Child is fare of face
Tuesday’s Child is full of grace
Wednesday’s Child is full of woe
Thursday’s Child has far to go
Friday’s Child is loving and giving
Saturday’s Child works hard for its living
And a Child that is born on the Sabbath Day
Is fair and wise and good and gay.

as a Friday Child according to this nursery rhyme, I’m suppose to be loving and giving… hmm… I wonder if that’s true…? XD

a Stephanie colour theory

Today, I remenisced on a memory I had as a kid. For some strange reason, I had always liked sorting colours of whether they were “boy" or “girl"

I remember in Sociology of Culture (UTSC: SOCB58H), these cultural keys (?) are implemented in our heads before we are at a certain age…

however, I feel that wasn’t the case for me, I remember being 2.5 years old and already sorting out colours:

“girl" colours
white, red, green, purple, pink, magenta,… etc

“boy" colours
black, yellow, blue, orange, grey brown… etc.

I also happen to enjoy “marrying" colours,

white can only be with black,
red can only be with yellow,
green can only be with blue,

if white was matched with… say blue, I would feel white was cheating on black! (HAHAHAHAA)

am I strange? XD

There is no Summer in Toronto…

what better to lie on your bed and letting the sun’s rays pour warmth on to you as it takes your soul slowly to a perfect land? oh… where art thou summer!!

I can’t believe The Dragon Boat Festival is just around the corner… (Monday)… however there doesn’t seem to be much (if any) festival spirit here in Toronto this year at all… :S

Are holiday spirits dying in Toronto? so unfortunate!
