My mom’s critical condition update

Dear All,

Thank you all for you kindness and support and prayers and and concerns!! I really REALLY appreicate it a lot!

Just
when we thought we could relax a little, this happened: Just yesterday,
my mother had to go to the hospital for another eye surgery after her
follow-up yesterday, the operation happened at around 10:30pm-12:00am.
(This time with Anestasia) The operation went smoothly, but there is a
bacteria in the back of her eye which might be a major problem, so from
today, she would need to visit the doctor every day for a month as it
is in crtical condition, furthermore, we must look out for her during
these next 6 months because of the ‘scar tissues’ which occur in her
eye causing her retina to fall out again.

and once again, thank you all for all that you have done! 🙂

p.s. sorry, currently not functioning too well… as I have slept for less than 10 hours these past 4 days.

Hi!
Thank you all for your concerns and caring and your kindness towards this difficult time.
Thank you Parthi, Kelvin, Toni, Heather, Gigi, and CCF for praying for us.
Sorry Allan and Jess, when you both called me earlier, I still was not wide awake,

Yesterday night, my mom’s eye was bleeding severely with vast amounts
of liquid coming out and, so we contacted the hospital and a resident
told us to go to St. Michael’s Hospital early in the morning
immediately.
This morning, we went to St. Michael Hospital’s eye clinic, there we
met up with the residence and immediate he went to check the eye.
Unfortunately, he could not see the eyeball because my mom’s eye was
too swollen. He then went to get a more experience doctor, and he tried
to ‘pull’ the lids of my mother’s open, which hurt her. He could not
diagnose anything, after many attempts with different methods he
suggested that we do an eye ultrasound. but he said that the eye
pressure seems a little high (30s, the normal area should be 10-23)

The good news is that everything is going slowly, but in the right
direction. Tomorrow we would continue going back down to St. Michael’s
eye clinic for her close up follow up.

Because of the eye pressure being high, my mom is experiencing nausea
and dizziness. Her eye also continues to bleed, the doctor said that it
is normal for the first two days, but should be a concern if it
continues.

My mom’s condtion, please pray

Dear All,

Thank you for all your sympathies and your kindness during these few weeks, but I have really bad news…

the
operation turned out to be 4 hours instead of 2 hours, at first
everything seemed alright, but during the operation, the doctor seemed
to ‘chee jo seen’ (went crazy) and he stopped giving my mom anethestic
to ease the pain, my mom complained for many times but the doctor
ignored her, we ended up staying at the hospital till 7:00 pm today.
When
we spoke with the glaucoma doctor, he seemed to remember a time when he
was busy and did not care about my mom’s eye pressure, which we decided
to go to another doctor, the doctor at that time sent this doctor info
to immediately treat my mom’s eye, this caused this doctor to become
furious at her, so he decided to ‘pay back’ by not giving her any
anestesia during the operation.

Right now, my mom is getting the
symptoms, and is unsure of what to do. We can not contact the glaucoma
doctor, thus we are looking for an available doctor to treat my
mother’s condition.

currently the symptoms and conditions she is getting are: bleeding of the eye, swelling, gushing of fluid, increasing pain…
