Commencement Entry

I’m probably the last person here to comment about Commencement Night… so sorry guys! =)

Commencement was awesome… but it was weird…. it seemed like going back to an old place with familiar people, yet, it was new and different at the same time… the people who I once was close with are distanted…. its just weird… and odd….

but overall it was a great evening…

I’m so Excited & Nervous!

I can’t wait!! I can’t wait!! tomorrow is commencement… I’m gonna see all of my highschool friends again!!! I’m so nervous too! what if they changed? or what if I changed?

ooh! another thing!!hahhah!! I’m so happy, just been appointed as Vice President interal & Promotions exec. for HKk!!! hhaha…. I seriously hope I don’t let down my team! gotta add lots of oil!

PLUS! Yesterday, I went to Novelty’s Junior Executive meeting, I’ve scheduled an appointment next Thursday in the afternoon, I hope I do well in that interview… cause if I do…. I would be one of Novelty’s Junior Executive!! =)

wellz…. as the title shows I’m both so excited and Nervous!

EPROPS

ahem… since.. SOMEONE here doesn’t seem to know what is an eprop.. thought I should ‘acknowledge’ those who don’t know what it is… actullly.. myself… I wasn’t too sure EXACTLY what it is… so I dedicate this entry to EPROPS… which most or all Xangans like:

What is an eprop?

Defined from Xanga itself….

Eprops are a way to give “props" to another member.  It’s really just a way to let someone know you enjoyed their post.

A few notes on how eprops work:

1. You can give up to two eprops for each post.
   
2. There’s no limit to the number of eprops you can give out.
   
3. You can’t give yourself eprops

I always refer to eprops as two cents… ya know… two cent worth saying?

Whew… its been well over a month since I’ve turned 18… but I seriously I don’t feel any different… but I did feel the heavy responsibility piling up on myself, people are always saying “see you are all grown up now… you have to do this and that and blah blah blah…" they are talking my ear off! seriously! … but I wonder… what’s the difference between the me before September 18 and after? I feel like the same person, but people treat me so different!!

anyone feel the same here?

I’M SO BUSY THESE DAYS!! I can’t even breath!! yet, I still need my time off… I can’t kill myself over dumb school work all the time!!!

All About Xanga…

This is scary!! When I first joined Xanga, I only had around 2 friends who actually HAD xanga, thus I didn’t care much about this blog, all I did was simply write and copy and pasted articles (I mean… don’t get me wrong! I still liked xanga… its just that I didn’t care) soon, as days to weeks to months passed, I realized I’ve become practically addicted to this, and not only that, but I met so much more other people who use Xanga, which I am proud of! I mean… look at my subscription list! I met so much people over these years with Xanga!! … OH YEAH! GO XANGA…

It means a lot of different things to a lot of different people. We just wanted a name that sounded fun, but was still short and sweet. Xanga fit the bill.

We’ve heard it all: Xangans, Xangites, Xanganites…

We prefer “Xangans". Here’s our logic: if you live in Europe, you’re a European; if you live in Asia, you’re an Asian; and if you live in Australia, you’re an Australian.

So naturally if you live on Xanga, you’re a Xangan!

OMG! hey guys, I seriously hope I’m not the last xanga user to realize this but this is just awesome!! while I was logging into my xanga this evening, I just found an amazing new feature on Xanga… we actually now have a photo uploader isn’t that just brillant?

Xanga is getting cooler and cooler!! when I first joined, I thought it was cool, because it really helped me make my blog (although, with all honesty, I didn’t know what was going on) which was extremely sad but not now! hahah I know my xanga (well… sorta…… anywayz.. I know more 🙂

Weird Languages

as, most of you or perhaps, all of you might know, I’m in UTSC, well, after meeting fellow CBCs who prefer English, and others who prefer Chinese… I found out this weird ‘phenomenon’ <= if that’s what I shouyld call it.

Both languages have their advantages and disadvntages… for example

Chinese: when we say Aunt or brother, we know the exact position of them.. (eg. Guoo (older brother), and Sai Loi, Dai Dai.(younger brother) and Chut yee (seventh Aunt on the maternal side), or gou ma (older aunt on the father side)
but when we are speaking things like him her, we don’t get that, we just say, Kui, refering to either side.

but in English.. its the exact opposite (given from the two examples)

hahha… isn’t that weird?

Great Day on Friday!!

Gosh! should have wrote this earlier… but darn!!.. just too busy!!… I am seriously happy and content, to have a wonderful old friend!!

Yesterday, I went to STC with one of my greatest friends: Sheila. We haven’t met for almost 5+ years, yet we still keep in touch!!… everything was the same old, chatting and laughing and sharing gossip, and speaking about the unforunate death of Jeffrey Reodica.

sorry… had to pause awhile… totally miss him too much!

well… this is what happened: at 12:00 we met up, and OMG!! we hugged and we just chatted and talked and talked. Sheila brought a new pair of shoes, and some clothes, than at around 1:30, we went to eat at Burger Kings… and we sat down and chatted and chatted… hmm… no real highlights…

anywayz.. this might seem lame.. ‘cept, c’mon, haven’t seen each other for ages.. gotta say something about it…. we ARE still FRIENDS!!! BFF! YAY!

Popularity vs. Blog entries!??!

GOSH!! I’m still incrediblily busy! But there is something which totally bugs me a lot… so much to the extent that I should seriously write an entry.

over the past week, I have been looking at people’s blogs, and have spoken to some friends, and what’s really annoying I find about what really is a blog. A blog as I first found out or perhaps already know it is a place where people express themselves. second. its a place where people are not afraid to express themselves and not wear masks of any sort.

Is everyone with me? but after speaking to a few friends of mine’s, I’ve realized not everyone thinks the same way, from what I’ve been hearing, people are using blogs to increase popularity, they reject those with blogs who they feel would make there’s look bad, while adding popular people either from their school or workplace to make themselves be in a group they want to be. now seriously… doesn’t that seem like they have totally took out the two meanings of what a blog really is? A blog isn’t a tool of popularity, rather, it is a tool to help you express yourself, your style, just YOU.

anywayz… I don’t know what to think, since I don’t know WHAT to say besides this… therefore.. I’ll just end this entry in a unfinished way.
